So, I have been totally lax in my art chores, of late, but getting back to work, FINALLY. As a warm up, I did this piece. I was trying to decide how my stranded Valiants characters might adapt to being stuck on Earth in the 27th Century. Fantasya, the girl in violet and purple, pretty much makes her own clothes, and may have conjured up the outfits for Liberator and Olympia, too. The world is in a bad place, at this time. After nearly 600 years, it has emerged from a mystic cloaking spell that kept it partially transparent to the sunlight that keeps us from being a planetary ski resort. The lands around the Equator are still warm enough for habitation, but the former temperate zones are near arctic and the poles are freaking uninhabitable, except to those damn ice-things that stalk the wastes. Demi-humans, mages and monsters rule the world. Regular humans hide in caves and eke out a living in the dark. Wildman, the resident furry Valiant, has lost a hand and replaced it with a big knife. He and Fantasya are demi-humans, themselves, but are not on board with the whole Demi-Human Domination thing. Liberator, is the inheritor of the Liberator legacy, his powers are super-normal strength and endurance. He carried a plasma lance and has converted it into a plasma sword. Olympia is super-strong, fast, flies and difficult to kill. Plus, Zeus still grants her his thunderbolts and now she has an enchanted sword that can cut nearly anything. Fantasya's powers were, originally, illusion and confusion, but she has expanded her magical repertoire to include a wide range of battle magic, among other disciplines. They will form a core for the rebellion against the demi-human overlords.
Oh, and just to make things more interesting (in the Chinese-curse sense of the word) there are the Invaders from Mars. (not seen here)
Well, since the only super people in this time period are scattered across the galaxy, she's a demi-human who, like several others, gets along with humans, even helped them against other demi-humans during the period where Earth was isolated from the universe.
I wish I had the time and energy to do it, but I'm only just now getting my head back together and getting some work done on Ad Astra. I hope to, one day, manage to do some shorts and stand-alone stories in-universe, that aren't tied directly to the ongoing Ad Astra story.
