Description
This piece is old, now. I recently framed it and it still looks pretty good. this is based on a panel from X-Men #111 (I think) and it's one of the most menacing-looking shots of Magneto, ever. John Byrne and Terry Austin created the original, and this might count as my first try at copying a piece of art for my own enjoyment.
I know I'm something of a rebel in that I prefer to "old" Magneto to the "new" one. Back when I first met him, he was a true bad guy. There was no attempt to graft a withered sense of nobility to him, he was the thing that baseline humans feared about mutants. Those humans he didn't want killed, he wanted enslaved.
