This one's funny. I drew a woman in a bustier and long skirt and Jeff liked it. I think I had written the name Chrysalis for her, before I could even pronounce it correctly. We decided that she has enormous transmutation powers.

I've re-used her, in my web-comic Ad Astra she's the daughter of the demi-human Magister, who worked the magic that banished all the supers from Earth in 2119.
She's going to be showing up in Ad Astra, soon.

Kind of. The Demi-humans lived a kind of "gypsy" lifestyle. Usually on the fringes or in the places "decent" folk don't want to live. Of course, after that day in 2019, they were pretty much in charge, since all the supers are exiled.

No, Magister cast a powerful spell that exiled all the supers, even people who just had the potential. No more supers on Earth, so the Demi-Humans were able to take control. Magister didn't understand the spell he cast, he thought it was to kill all his enemies, but it was a spell of testing. The spell identifies the strengths of its target(s) and teleports it/them somewhere that can test it/them to the limits. For the supers with super-strength and resistance to injury, that was the planet they called Atlas, with 6 times Earth's gravity. For the folks with a streak of wild animal in them, it was Wilder, a world with huge forests and animals and wide open spaces. There are a bunch of other Exile Worlds, with different classes of supers exiled there. Earth was also "tested". The magic backfired and cut Earth off from all memory, it was lost, invisible even to the Mars colony, until recent events unfolding in Ad Astra made it reappear.

Wow. Good thing that even though the supers were taken off of Earth, they all were able to go some other planets. What's next for Chrysalis?
