Diamond Girl 19 mock cover by Joe-Singleton
Diamond Girl 19 mock cover
So, I found this old Ms Marvel cover by Dave Cockrum and thought it would make a great Diamond Girl pic.  I love old cover art, with all the lettering and cover dressing. All the lettering was done in Illustrator. Super lot of fun putting this together. With all respect to the original artist, the great Dave Cockrum.

Triumphant
So, I wanted to do something on the scale of a wraparound cover. One of these days, I'll do one of these that's a classic face-off between groups of heroes and villains.

New Year, New Commissions!

The last part of 2015 was fairly quiet, but I'm hoping to start off 2016 with a bang. This time around, I'm offering two tiers for commissions, based on technique.

Hard Copy
Paper, pencils and ink. Plus postage and it's in your hands.

All measurements in inches, just becuz...

11X17 page, this is the standard comic page size and is used for interior and covers illustrations.
$70 for inked page.
$45 for pencils only.

11X14 is a little smaller, it's approximately the size of the image area of most cover illos. Also, it's close to the size of the Manga pages I sometimes use and the rates are interchangeable for those two.

Manga size board is approximately 10X14

$55 for inked page
$40 pencils only

9X12 is handy for one or two character illustrations
$25 for inked
$15 for pencils only

Postage will depend on where you are. For overseas, I highly recommend going digital, shipping costs get outrageous.

Digital Copy
No paper, no pencils, no ink, all digital.

Because there are no materials used, my rates for digital art are less.

But, there's more available with digital. I can also do much larger pieces than I can on paper. Physical space limits my ability to work on larger boards, and shipping is prohibitive. Plus, it's very hard to scan a large item.

Poster size 24X36
$200 for inked and colored
$150 for inked
$100 pencils only

What do you use for modeling your ships? I use Sketchup, myself.

The majority of these models aren't mine - I so wish I was that good!! - but I render in Max from 3ds, Max and Sketchup models.
